WONDERS OF NAMIBIA
10 nights / 11 days

Day 1

Fly to Windhoek airport in Namibia. Depart for the Waterberg plateau. Nestled on a rocky terrace on the slope of the Waterberg, the chalets at Waterberg Plateau Lodge offer grandiose views of the endless Kalahari savannah below. At the end of the afternoon, take your first safari in search of rhinos guided by the reserve ranger.

Day 2 & 3

Depart towards Etosha National Park for a big 5 safari experience. Etosha is one of the largest savannah conservation areas in Africa, It is world renowned for its spectacular wildlife: elephant, rhino, lions, cheetah, large herd of springboks, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and a multitude of fascinating species. In its centre, a former inland sea, now transformed into a white salt pan offering incredible light and sightings. Imagine seeing flamingos, lions and giraffes drinking from the same waterhole. 

Day 4 & 5

Damaraland is a stunning and remote region known for its rugged beautiful landscapes. Damaraland is an unusual geological feature, a wealth of rock paintings and engravings, and has a population of desert-adapted Elephants and black Rhino combined to form its unique attraction. You will experience a guided safari to spot them and learn about their adaptations to this harsh environment. On your way to the coast you will be amazed by the petrified forest and the organ pipe geological feature.

Day 6

Another stop at the unique rock formations of Spitzkoppe, also called the “Matterhorn” of Namibia and will complement the discovery of Damaraland.
During the 4×4 expedition around these mountains at sunset, you will be fascinated by the spirituality that these places evoke

Day 7 & 8

Swakopmund will appear to you like a mirage, a coastal town between fog and sandstorms, it is one of the most surreal places in Namibia. As an introduction to the region,  you will embark on a quad bike ride into the dunes, overlooking the ocean.

Sand and sea, ocean and ancient sand dunes . . . on the next day, you will experience a beyond epic adventure, starting with a catamaran cruise in the bay to observe the amazing birdlife, seals and dolphins, followed by a seated beach braai on Pelican Point Peninsula. From there, a 4×4 will take you through the arresting dune landscape of Sandwich Harbour.

Day 9 & 10 & 11

Embark in a small Cessna for a panoramic flight over the Namib desert and land only a few minutes away from your lodge. Early morning departure on a 4×4 expedition to the world’s most ancient desert, or famously called Sossusvlei. This is by far the most iconic region in Namibia. Its huge red sand dunes, such as “Big Daddy, dominate the landscape by reaching over 300 meters high. Climbing one of these mastodons can be challenging but so rewarding once arriving at the top. You’ll appreciate a full desert breakfast after a relaxing walk around the salt clay pan & Dead Vlei.

The next day, at sunrise, in the world’s oldest desert, witness a spectacular hot air balloon inflation, and set out on the flight of a lifetime. Spend the rest of the day on your private terrace or at the pool side, savouring the spectacular surroundings and moving colours throughout the day. Fly back to Windhoek and connect for your onward flight to your home country.
