ITINERARY
SOUTH AFRICA WITH FAMILY
13 days/12 nights – self drive or guided
Day 1
From Johannesburg, depart for the region of the Blyde River Canyon in the Mpumalanga Province. The 30 kilometre long canyon occupies third place on the world’s list of canyons and is one of the most impressive natural phenomena in South Africa. Overnight at Rissington Inn Lodge.


Day 2
Enjoy the panoramic route along the canyon and stop at amazing viewpoints such as “Gods Window” and “Bourke’s Luck Potholes”.
Drive to Kruger National park to experience a true African safari.
Tintswallo Safari Lodge is situated on the private Manyeleti Reserve concession set within the Greater Kruger National Park. It is a reserve with very low vehicle and human density and great concentration of animals.
Day 3
Continue your safari experience with morning and late afternoon open 4 x 4 game drives, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker.
Enjoy dinner in the bush under the stars and a peaceful night at Tintswallo safari lodge.


Day 4
Enter the rich and vibrant Kingdom of Eswatini, explore its traditions and discover the culture of its warm and welcoming people. Overnight at Moggi Boutique Hotel.
Day 5
Cross the border and re-enter South Africa into the Kwa Zulu Natal province. Continue to Kosi Bay, a series of four interlinked lakes in the Maputuland area. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kosi River Mouth is known as “the aquarium” because of the clarity of the water and the abundance of fish species. Overnight at Kosi Forest Lodge, tucked away in the coastal forest.


Day 6 & 7
Participate to the many activities offered at Kosi Forest Lodge. These include canoeing, birding, snorkelling, boat cruises, walks and cultural encounters with the Thonga people.
Day 8
Follow the coastline and travel south towards the city of Durban. Enjoy long walks on the sandy beaches, visit its tropical botanical gardens, experience the Indian community and traditions, the bustling Indian & African markets or even try the cable car over the Moses Mabhida football stadium. It offers magnificent views over the city. Overnight at North Star Micro Hotel.


Day 9 & 10
Fly from Durban to Cape Town in the morning. Check-in at la Grenadine, a designer guest house and country idyll in the heart of the city. Enjoy the cosmopolitan, colourful and festive life of Cape Town. Explore the mythical Cape of Good Hope, climb up Table Mountain, surf, sail, cycle…or just enjoy the sun on a white sandy beach.
Day 11 & 12
End your trip on the wine route. The Cape wine region is often described as one of the prettiest areas of South Africa with dramatic mountain slopes planted with vines of numerous varietals. Explore the beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture, take a cellar tour and enjoy a tasting of our finest wine paired with local gastronomy. Check in at the fantastic estate of Babylonstoren , an old Cape Dutch farm featuring modern and innovative designer villas. The farm is also known for its unique and historical fruit and vegetable garden.
Depart to your home country from Cape Town International airport.
